My Power Poison
For the bullied and victimized
The power dynamic undergoes a seismic shift and change.
No longer just money, arms and armies, there’s a far reaching range.
No longer wealth of nations alone or boots on the ground.
A much more subtle and insidious power has been found!!!
Words: The written word or spoken word, the new Goliath never to meet a Shepard boy.
They have the power to maim, hurt and kill. The word smiths new deadly toy.
Words can never hurt was always false info. Words have the power of splitting atoms.
They have destroyed many a righteous person. They slander, hinder and birth tantrums.
The poor innocent’s cyber bullied to death due to poisoned paragraphs online.
The vicious, venomous, false witness that convicts the defendant to serve major time.
The celebrity and the politician whose good names and reps have been bloodied,
The average Jane, Joe citizen whose life and integrity has been muddied.
The beastly blogs. The twisted twitter tweets. The infected instagram’s and other treats.
Sticks and stones??? Not those alone, words rend flesh and break bones n other feats.
People please temper your prose with wisdom and mercy, don’t be a sinful sod!!!
Words really do have power, for example; Contemplate the Bible and the words of God...:-)
