Into your strong freckled arms
Small from the trees
Brown from the sun
White from the shade
Hold me close
And love me
Love me more than you love anyone else.
Love me deeply,
Desperately,
Clawing at the redness of their prayers,
Gasping into the hollow of my eyes.
Hold me tight and let me cry
And tell me
Tell me I wasn’t worth something.
