I drink far less water than I should
And usually when I do
I am breaking for breath
Or singing too hard
Nothing is better though
Than the lonely walks in the rain
And smiling at the drops
Sneaking past my glasses
I open windows to hear the storms
And the thunder and don’t mind
The odd drop sneaking in
I like the crash of waves
On the cliffs
Over the gentle lapping
On the beaches
I don’t drink because
Water is never alone
It drips and forms puddles
Runs into rivers or stays in seas
And I envy it
