See ya' buddy...
This is not over, not by a mile;
It is perpetuated by love, born of a smile.
An unsure step, met with an outstretched hand;
A friendship ensued, this is how it began.
I rescued you from the night, and from being alone;
Sure dude, no problem, you can use my phone.
Returning one morning, to find you asleep by my spot;
Waking you with a blanket, here, it’s the only extra one I got.
Shared with you food, and you paid me in laughter;
My life never the same, different, was always the day after.
I don’t like it over there, you confided one day;
See that place right over there, it is yours if you stay.
Now people around here, never, have they been more wrong;
Because that day that you left, they said you were gone.
The truth of the matter, and I believe you know it’s true;
Never to forget our friendship, the promise, that I make to you.
