My path crossed with an angel today
She said, “Take my wings and go fly away.”
The pain you feel is so deep in your heart—
A flight won’t fix all, but the healing will start
Fly to the mountains—that is where, you like to go
Sit for a while and watch the falling snow
Go to the sea and walk the breaking shore
Listen to the waves strike and
Ask for no more
Sail through the clouds on a bright, sunny day
Listen to the wind as it blows your cares away

Visit heaven, tell them I won’t be again
I gave my wings to one, who more than I, needed them
