Watching her breathe
is the only thing worthwhile because,
My money burns like tinder
and height is not the range,
The thickness of an old oak,
Or powerful as cash exchange.
You can’t be waterproof
or have the strength of the rock,
as the wind, lasting eternally knows
that’s what nature mocks.
Never to be as furious,
As the hell you live and breathe,
or never be as warm
As the bear-skin,
living far beneath.
Nothing you have will stay,
Flowing off like water -
Maybe it is safer, to
Live day by day -
Rather than facing the slaughter.
