Two and the one

An observation on marriage.

I couldn’t think,
of anything worse.

From the outside,
Looking in.

Draining your soul away,
as the days run dry.

But it’s not without,
that mystique,
of its heart and soul,

when it discovered,
the first,
man or woman.

It’s a smile,
a peck on the cheek,
as you wearily,
come through the door.

A lion and a cub.

or two and the one.
