Now
I need it now
I want it now
Immediate gratitude
is what we’re taught
A lack of patience
An insatiable desire
for our thirst to be quenched
Our hunger to be satisfied
Is what’s learned
The groaning of the “egoic-self”
Is like an infant crying
because she is being weened
from her mother
It is unceasing and unrelenting
But where growth is attainable
Suffering must be endured
