One Too Many
Wine one too many
Last evening’s raucous party
Hangover likely
Need a cold shower
Then the neighbor’s lawnmower
And the leaf blower!
Loud racket rang in my ears
Minutes but it seemed like years
Out of bed jumped I
Heart rate fast blood pressure high
Mouth extremely dry
Need water right now
Sweat flowing down from my brow
Can’t focus somehow
Terrible morning
Head, legs, and arms are warring
Heart palpitating
Right then and there I promised
Quite serious to be honest
Never shall I drink again
Not just an empty refrain!

You go to a party on a Friday night. Looking forward to wallowing in bed the next day. Then your neighbor decides to mow the lawn at 7:00 AM. Haven't you felt homicidal when that happens?

4yMurphy’s Law all over again! Worse when there is a landscaping maintenance crew where you live. You get the whole racket package: lawnmowers, blowers, lawn edgers. And the loud screaming. Cacophony starting at 7 AM. To think that you retired from your lawn care days. Happy that you kept your promise. Liked. Thanks Brod.

4yThanks for liking Brod. In Texas, all lawn services are done by Mexicans. They come early and are done in less than half an hour. But the ruckus and noise will rock your world. LOL
