A fork in the road
To the west Jerusalem
Due east Babylon
Thousands traveling eastward
But the road west deserted
The road east wide smooth
Paved with roses and gemstones
Babylon beguiles
But deceitful its allure
For in the end, no future
Narrow the road west
Rocky with thorns and thistles
Often times uphill
But at the end of the road
A bright city paved in gold
Here at the crossroads
It’s manifest what shall be
Still the siren calls
Seductive and glamorous
Most difficult to refuse
We need God’s armor
To resist the enticement
Of the siren song
May we stand firm unbending
On the road to e’erlasting
A fork in the road
One road towards Gehenna
One to redemption
So, with free will God-given
Let’s choose the path to heaven

2a“I took the one less traveled by / And that has made all the difference”…Robert Frost. Attractive as the “the way they do it in Babylon” the price paid is never worth the trip. Hearted Brod. Thank you for this gem. 👍

2a@Nelson D Reyes That is one of my favorite poems. Frost one of my favorite poets. Yes, Babylon is very appealing but can be destructive. Thank you for liking Brod.
