It was a noisy night;
All of the little critters,
And woodland creatures
Had to be out—
I wouldn’t be surprised
If I saw Bambi out here, again.
This anxious and majestic night
Could sate the most captious appetite.
The wind, as discreet as they come
With its seductive pleasantries
Kept me entertained.
Up in the heavens, I heard my name.
It was as if the clouds were trying to tell me something,
But everyone is assiduously talking at the same time.
These lights, gleaming through the window,
Are both blinding and hypnotic.
Through this commotion, and it’s entirety,
I stood in the shade;
The hottest place in the dark–
Bathing in its warmth,
And still remaining cool as fuck.
