The clouds roll in
And the clouds roll out
But that’s not really
What clouds are about
And the sun still shines
On the good and the bad
It seems so uncaring
And that could be sad.
The Shepherd and the Wolf
Both eat meat
One knows it as life
To the other— it’s a treat.
And the sun still shines
On what seems good and bad.
It’s a matter of viewpoint
And to some that is sad.
We might just be programed
From the old to the waif
For everything is eaten
Nothing is safe.
Even spirits are chewed
And so goes the soul
And what’s left turn to clouds.
Is that us? I don’t know.
