The words of John Kennedy, spoke out so very true,
when he said to ask America, what can I do for you?
His words were very sincere, they were very wise words too,
when he said to ask America, what can I do for you?
When we think of President Kennedy we all feel a little sad,
because he didn’t stay long enough, to show the love he had.
He had love for his country, and for his fellow man.
and it really would be nice if we could do it all again.
Just to hear his words so plain. telling us what to do.
Telling us to ask America, what can I do for you?
He left with us a memory, that there’s men who are good,
who care about the rights of men, the way they really should,
and he left with us these words, and they are so very true,
when he said to ask America, what can I do for you?
Now even though his days, down here on earth are through,
we should still try to do what he said for us to do.
And that’s to ask not, what our country can do for us,
but to say to America, what can I do for you.
