The Optimist
Terrible things began to happen,
things we can’t even imagine,
but the optimist said it will be ok.
Though already bad, things got even
worse, but the optimist said, He who
gives also takes away.
He was a good man who’s life took
a turn, and he didn’t understand it all.
Family members died, everything began
to change, Everything he
knew began to crumble, and fall.
The evil one smote him,
and he got very sick,
Friends and family turned against him too.
Things got worse, but he said,
even if I die, I will believe,
that God is faithful and true.
In the end when the optimist was
at the end of his rope,
God Allmighty suddenly came.
Then something wonderful happened!
everything the Optimist lost, plus (Double)
was given back to him again.

Of course anyone reading this could guess that the Optimist was Job.
I wanted to tell the story with a little different spin. God knew from the start about
everything that was happening to Job, and his faith is an example to us all.
