Another World

On a walk this morning,
the rocky cliffs
that reach
the blue-green sea,
talk of strength today.
Small birds
fluttering about,
find holes in the rock,
to claim as home.
The tall, wavy,
yellow grass
and the dirt path
greet my feet,
a road of purpose.
The mist rolls in
from the ocean,
the great pacific coast
of Northern California,
which no one can tame,
calls from another world,
I gladly follow.

8/26/22. My husband and I traveled recently to a "bucket list" place recently. It did our hearts good!
