Day 27: Touch-y Feel-y
For those who are scolded for love
Forgive lovers
for horrid displays of passion
Forgive lovers
for their arts which do uncover
the reasons for which some may lash
out—their purpose reduced to ash.

This is day 27 of my month long rondelet marathon! I wrote this poem in honor of a couple friends of mine who are constantly looked down upon for simply expressing their affection with one another. I end up deducing the discomfort our culture has with love to simple envy and selfishness.
