Sweet love

A lie.

He held me tight, his love was blanket for when I slept at night.

His lips would touch mine, they were soft sweet touches that left me shivering.

His face was a facade, a deception, a misconception and it fooled me.

Why did I not realise the signs before it was too late, why did I pour my heart out on the plate, for him to stab it with his knife and tear into pieces like a steak.

Oh how stupid I was, foolishly in love but helplessly looking for a way out, his words would change, so quick. But the way his eyes shined, and the way I was in love with him blinded me of all in sight, a puppet to him I was but now I am not.

Sweet love can be deceiving, maybe he will find this, maybe he will change, but no longer will I fall back into his games.

To the guy I loved, to the guy I cared about the most, to the guy who manipulated me, to the guy who hurt me. I hope you find peace, I know I will but this time it will be within me.
