TIME

TIME.

Walking mindlessly in the muddle of conflicting confusion,
I stop mesmerized by a vision... of clear limpid blue.
Lost in the magic of their hauntingly captivating appeal,
They are piercingly youthful, yet wise beyond their years.
For me, I am reminded of what once was, but sadly is no more
Her classic beauty halts me,
Skin perfection elegance, refined features and more
She is a vision of beauty and elegance assured.
A reminder of the reality that Gods perfect creation endures.

She is the epitome of what was once an attainable dream
But with the wisdom of time,
Knowing it is something once tasted, but now swallowed in a dream.
A reminder of my youth and a past well explored.
I reflect on these musings
With the knowledge my truths,
Learned from a lifetime and experience of more than three score.
And now relegated to memory, not remorse.

As I stare at the cover of this glossy magazine,
Time warped by an image of what was once and now a dream.
I am lost in a moment of time,
Fleeting, too brief, I want more.
I nod my head approvingly before shuffling along.
Been there, done that, no regrets,
I am satisfied with my choices, I now just ignore.
