Anastasia

My legacy.

I don’t want a luxurious life,
diamonds are just glass to me,
I’d rather collect seashells,
autumn leaves between books.

I wish for the simplicity of a lake,
where I can watch the sun go down,
and laugh until I can’t feel my face.
The smooth movements of the water.

I don’t want a life based on the money I made,
rather be remembered for the kindness I had.
Capital, jewelry, cars, and expensive watches.
None of that appeals to me.

I rather stick to the words in books on a cabin.
When I was growing up they said I had an old soul.
And maybe, it just because I find more comfort in the words of strangers and the solitude of nature.

I don’t plan to make my life a legacy, where I can leave a fortune behind,
for people to seek a treasure hunt.
My only wish is to let the ones I love with the doctrine that there’s more in life than an extravagance.
That the happiest moments can be the simplest ones, where you jump into a pool fully clothed.
Or when you’re able to listen to the soft melody of birds singing,
and the most important is that literature and art will always be there for you.
