The Way He Is
A poem written for English class. It had to contain examples of a simile, metaphor, or both
His eyes are as blue as a sapphire.
But they only sparkle for me.
His smile is the sunshine,
Sparkling off the waves.
His hair is as black
As the night sky.
His laugh is as pretty
As the singing of the birds.
But I am the only thing
That has ever made him laugh.
And he cries often around me,
But his tears are like diamonds.
His skin is like leather,
Soft, silky, and smooth.
But his kiss is his way
To say he loves me.
It may or may not be about something that really happened...
