~A Constant Poet~

O, But Didn't You Hear It Shine?

O, emberous beauty
May you sway
With the rain
As we climb ladders
Of disdain
In such repose
We so disposed
Lie now
So exposed

O, sweet empty
My pallid beauty
Find your heart
& Exit with these
Endless shards
With an unrivaled grace
Drape your glistening lace
Around me
As we
With a tender
Fingertip
Trace & retrace
That place
Where we
With so pale a lip
Never dare to tread
With words so dead
& Teeth
Full of lead

O, sweet never
Know that I have
Crept into those
Bleak folds
But never did I shiver
For your chill
Grew so old
Faster than the land
We sold
But try as
We might
With such black delight
We may nary hold
Such a night

O, my demure
Emberous queen
I have so
Alone seen
Your star
Roll around
In those places
Where the old ones
Once slept
So sound
As we crept
& Believe me
I too wept
Into those eerie
Times when the lines
Became so blurry
& Leapt
From the page
To find naught
But us
In an empty age

O, my amber beat
The grass bowed
Beneath your feet
For each blade knew
It was its duty to
Lest it be plucked
From foul soil
& Cast from
The Earth
Like a blight
So deathly
Contrite

O, sweet never
Ever the elegant
You sever
Me from the tide
As those lines
Turn to dust
& Those words
We tried to find
All but rust
As all meaning
Falls away
Like enamored bugs
Flying through space
In an impetuous
Haste
To a light
Brimming
With dismay
At so
Delirious a
Pace

O, sweet thing
If its all
The same
To you
Dear go
Sing your song
In the radiance
Of the sun
& I’ll sing mine
In the rain
