Steadfast

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
2 Peter 3:17 KJV

Tomorrow has never been promised
We’re never sure till the sun rises
But we are enduring optimists
With rose-colored lenses in every crisis!

When the world’s soaked in rain and mist
Rainbow, we pray for to end our sacrifices
When engulfed by night; the sun we miss
We beseech heaven to make things righteous!

In the midst of nightmares, we dare dream
Steadfast, we refuse to dwell in shadows
Gazing at the sky, we welcome a sunbeam
That’ll usher bright, beautiful tomorrows!

When monsters terrify us, we scream
Our lungs out, rather than drown in our sorrows
Hopeful we remain, a mighty host of seraphim
Will deliver us from our eternal foes

But optimism only exists with the Almighty;
Without Him, our universe will spiral
Into certain chaos, an entropic calamity
There’ll be no tomorrows; no hope for survival!

With Him we’re optimistic about eternity
Where a heavenly legion will welcome our arrival
To a kingdom of love, peace and serenity;
Our true destination, our home forever final!
