To seek virtue is to find pain
To seek piety is to find sadness
To live it to die,
And to die is to truly
Find how to live
For those who live virtuously
Will find only rebuttal
By their own hands in disdain
To seek piety is to find peace
But sadness by another’s hands
To live is to die
And to die is to live
For wisdom is only gained
By Insight from years
Bought by mistakes made
To find peace is to buy truth
At the price of time
As the hourglass drains
The circle of equilibrium
Is attained by insight
When karma and effect
Are one
