Moonlight Monsters
The tormented corners of my mind come back
to haunt me tonight standing in corners of dull
moonlight motioning with clawed hands to a
place where there is only nightmares their raspy
voices wash over me as i close my eyes begging for
one night of mercy one night of peace is all i ask
they can see they are close to breaking me down
their cackles echo around the room well i try to
remember why i am fighting so hard against it
the shadows hover over me making sure i have
no where to hide they show themselves to none
and quickly run when they hear the footsteps
outside my door don’t leave me alone tonight i
beg or they might finally win
