REMEMBERING YOU

Like the rivers of a long, lost world, the
Tears flow.
The misery of the anguished and the pain of
The banished
Relinquish their thoughts into the abyss that was once
His being.

The images keep lingering and the tears
Keep flowing.
Why has destiny made it so?
Why must it end this way?

Neither the shimmering beams of
Celestrial lands
Nor the reptilian echoes from the
Tropical ground
Will over saturate the hunger your void
Has created.

When his soul releases its
Salty dew,
It will be because he’s remembering you.
When pain is so grand that rivers no longer
Run true,
It will be because he’s remembering you.
