ROCK

Lying in the brilliant sunshine she is warmed.
Footsteps on a dusty path disturb her repose.
A young hand grasps her, tosses her carelessly into the air.
Eventually, he tires of this reputation, throws her to the ground.
Now she is in the shade of a large sycamore tree on a grassy knoll.
A nice lady, picks her up, admires her many colors, her unique shape.
She takes her home, places her in her favorite flower garden.
She is at peace. She can listen to the birds singing.
After dark, she can hear the awesome silence.
