AUCTION TIME

Just sitting around with nothing to do,
Her man’s gone fishing, the kids are gone too.
She has all her chores done,
That suits her just fine, because—
IT’S AUCTION TIME.

She gathers a few items for the folks to see,
Hoping to get a few dollars for her.
She looks for a bargain,
Now that would be fine, because—
IT’S AUCTION TIME.

She finds all her friends and neighbors there,
Bringing all kinds of things to share.
So she’ll buy your things, and you buy hers,
At good o AUCTION TIME.

If you want lots of laughter, and just plain fun,
You’ll not find a place like it under the sun,
Folks making friends, having a good time,
Nothing like it folks—
IT’S AUCTION TIME.
