slow down!
As the earth keeps spinning,
we all are busy travelling.
Chasing each passing days
like we were in race against nature.
Oh! What a world condemn with greed and shame,
we forget what matters, even our dear names.
Friends, families and neighbours are all gone,
the concerns we’ve shown made us stay home alone.
If I am to love my brother like myself,
what if he has already despised himself?
I say the world today is so empty and cold,
It’s unlike the very days of the old
that was filled to the brim with toys
where every little boys and girls use their arms to till the soil.
Changes for good is all we need,
make a move and support the needy
at least be your brother’s keeper
and also an ambassador of peace.
To begin this movement it’s just so so simple,
nothing else more than you will is needed as a sample.
You and I could beat the drum of peace
for other hearts to listen and maybe preach. Thank you!
