A man with contentment in his eyes,
Conveying the knowledge of the wise,
With crowds of admiration of his speech,
With love in their hearts from an outward reach,
Into the minds of the oppressed and too enslaved,
From a life of dreams and freedom depraved,
Gazing at him with their hearts full of envy,
To trade places with a life that runs on empty,
To be prominent like him, so really well known,
Like monarchs sitting high up on a stylish throne,
But prominence comes with a price to pay
With the crucifixion looming on an April day.
Is there anyone like Jesus in the crowd out there?
The famous one who knew of his destiny to bear?
The one dedicated to his mission of good will?
Tortured and hung at the cross high on the hill?
For the envious onlookers, there wouldn’t be one
To trade places with Jesus. It couldn’t be done.

6yAmen. Soooo true Robert, and so very well put. He is the one, and only Son Of God, and no one else could do what He did. Love this.

6yHe sure was a man committed to fulfill his mission on earth. What a man indeed
