Thunder Torches

Torches cutting trails in the nighttime skies
lighting up the darkness in a lovely disguise

of beauty flaunted and beauty impassioned
passion released and taken to the end

cracking through the perforated clouds
in proud submission to its wicked vows

from the dark prince at his demonic altars
on a mission to burn and split the stars

to light up the sky and show the devil’s works
and twisted ladies dancing in rising skirts

fired up torches aiming at the highest trees
in cadence to the thunder as it swiftly leaves

such beauty in the sky, a gallery of passion
the birth and life of the tempest in action

from the gentle skies to the house of the savage
the running of the course of a tumultuous rage

lightning bolts shot out of diabolic canons
from the sorcery of the sorcerer’s wands

a vengeance against the air that tranquilized the earth
the air that was sanctified at its sacred birth

the air made unholy as the fire ran through
soiled from the boiling of a witch’s brew

the running of the passion of the thunder torches
as it touches, as it singes, then until it scorches

beautiful, illuminated skies, lightning dances,
power drumming, power unleashed, power supreme,
Thunder Gods singing, earth shaking,
oh yes, the gallery of the tempest,
the glamour of the heated skies
on a mission of demolition upon the earth.
