My Unknown of Me

My unknown of me, my blood rivers
winding around and through my body from
divine sources, anointed by the
Grace of God,

rivers soiled from the pure,
stained from the virginal,
rivers in my keeping and maintenance
flowing through delicate channels,
my jungles, my maze, my domain, my haven,
my lost child, my milk, my breath,

being driven by
life longing for itself through
my brittle veins, my palpitating heart,
my flapping valves in constant motion,
pumping life into life, blood into blood,
riding down the rivers of destiny
from divine sources out of my control
from despotic mandates from heaven above,

steady flowing under divine supervision
to destinies unknown,
my other universe, my island
shrouded by the mist
and away from my understanding,

and the beast within me that
screams for dominance,
that battles with the divinity within me
as I weigh my desires with my satisfaction,
pleasure with my abstinence,
my faith with my indecisiveness,
and the me that contains all the elements,

networks of activity within me,
networks controlled by God
and maintained by the both of us
and nourished by my careful vigilance
as life goes on and on and on..........
