Incendium Amore

The fire of love in its heated stages,
as doves fly out from wooden cages,

as heaven speaks in her native tongue
and the shifting sands melt one by one,

passion speaking through heated channels,
aligned with red velvet throbbing panels,

words covered over by rose colored canopies,
muffled by the soothing voices of a breeze,

the rites of love in their midnight dancing,
their heated kisses and stallions prancing,

a prelude to the ride to the lover’s mount,
to the spatial ocean in a universal count,

as heaven erupts with scattered flowers
in a perfumed sky with gilded showers,

running through the heart and soul of lovers,
from words running silent and silence utters,

from all sound culminating in the deep abyss,
as lovers leave the earth with a heavenly kiss,

an enchanted journey into space without a plan,
a desire to keep drifting with nowhere to land,

as lovers feel the warmth that love gives out,
the fire that burns in the loins and throughout,

sending them on the rivers
of love’s secret journey
from a kiss to an isle
of volcanic heat,
of erupting pleasures.
Incendium Amore.
