Autumn Fields

Fields turning orange at harvest time,
pumpkins getting ripe on the hearty vine
as orchards stretch up to the lower skies
in regimental rows so dazzling to the eyes.

Apple trees are ready for the picking
to be eaten soon as time is ticking.
The bounty of life is set for the harvesting
and at the table we ask for God’s blessing.
