This culture of death
a child’s final breath
more harmful than meth
tears continue to flow unceasing
’Tis America’s shame
this existential game
to kill and to maim
with body counts ever increasing
Thoughts and prayers?
By now we’re awares
No republican cares
so long as they’re in control
Our children are dying
Our neighbors are crying
