Long ago many life cycles before, you were all i felt and all i saw, of your bravery I was in awe, how did that bond become no more? It got cut so violently as if with a saw, yet you still live infinitely in my core, the same boy with a beautiful fury of righteous justice, my heart bled tears for your agony of what i would witness, and your heart broke into pieces when you looked back at my helplessness, we had no parents or brothers and sisters, i remember the late night heartbroken whispers, you taught me bravery, even in the midst of slavery, if only you knew, in the times i needed you, when you showed up what your eyes would say to me, a true martyr you were, for their pride you did not care, through their ego you would tear, when i couldn’t breathe anymore you were my air, you fought until the end, never did you bend, you stood out like a lion in crowds you didn’t blend, when you saw me upset my heart you would mend, when we were apart my prayers and thoughts i would send
