Amy's a wound that still stings

I saw you the other day
your coy smile, whats that about?
its been a couple of years since the last time
I saw your face, its been a while.
 
You just walked right past me
you recognised me I’m sure,
we locked eyes in momentary connection
you then looked down and scurried past.
 
I saw you the other day
my heart thumped like never before,
and to watch you walk away
I wished it to stop, to never beat again.
