In a world full of love
I’ve never seen anything
To make me think that all this
Is worth the pain that love brings.
There’s supposedly so much meaning
That I guess just passed me by.
You keep trudging along
Because I guess you’re supposed to?
At least that’s what I’m told
From all the people I’m close to.
But when your nightmares come to life
I simply don’t understand why
I shouldn’t shut down the show
Of this satire of life,
Where nothing is lasting,
Not your friends, not your wife.
Just give that curtain cord a tug
And take your final bow.
Pop the pill, pull the plug,
Yeah do whatever you need to
Cause these angel-white robes
Are really easy to bleed through.
I wish I could find love and meaning,
But I just don’t know how.
