Leighann Hall

Ended

As I stand at my window looking out at the dark skies
I reminisce about my black life
As I begin remembering the worst over the best
I take the sharp dagger knife to my chest

As I can feel the blood pouring out– I begin to smile
This is what I wanted right the pain to finally be gone
As I take my final few breaths I start to remember the best
I took my life in the worst time of my life

As I hear a faint scream from my mother
Then sudden sobs from my father
As I begin to realize that everyone cared
It hit me like the white light that I was the only one who didn’t care
