Winter lungs

The sun is dancing around the world below me, it’s beauty penetrating through my skin. I felt a wave of emotion rush over me, as if I had swallowed the entire earth, and held it clenched inside my throat. It seems as though the sun is resting, she is resting upon the backs of my hands, begging them to write on. The stars have entered my bones along with autumn, and together they’re slowly teaching me to breathe again. My lungs have been filled with dust, and are covered in bruises lined with wilted dandelions. But soon I will breathe in the winter air, and my lungs will let go of  all the memories they hold onto. The trees are swaying against the paper world, and one by one they fall to sleep; and become the words that are written beneath my feet.

"The trees are swaying against the paper world, and one by one they fall to sleep; and become the words that are written beneath my feet."It must suck being so wonderfully creative... ;)Another great one dear sister poet!
