I’ve seen others dumped
Cast off and forgotten
With sweet rotting
I’ve seen them decompose
Into sweet liquor as people
Mill about them like flies
I’ve seen their seeds left behind
Seeming a hollow shell and yet
Look! And a green stalk sprouts
And with wonder and awe
I watch them grow
Blossoming greater than before
While I sit there as plastic
Discolouring and fading
Becoming more useless
As I wait for the end

9yIs this a message about hope? What grows out of suffering is much stronger than growing out of nothing. Suffering forms hearty roots I love your philosophy.

9yThank you! I'm glad you like it! I also tried get the idea that the narrative voice can't tell he's exactly the same. It's so easy to lose hope and think there is nothing, but we can all grow stronger from suffering; there is always the potential to improve, and that is something eternally worthy of hope.
