The Way Back

To Mal

Life is brief. Crave for sights unseen. But only leads to life indulgent.
Wish to change. Left all the same. And bent crooked by involvement.
Delusions maul, intentions warped. Desires left insolvent.
Chaos ensues. Clear path is skewed. And all are left discordant.
But rise again. My only choice. And hope to avoid devilment.
And now this ends. I long for rest. And remain not despondent.
Hope does spring. Behind bleak veil. Life can truly be effulgent.
