Resisting The Urge
Her hair fans her face
when she cries
Doesn’t understand the world
She doesn’t care
Everybody lies
She uses story after story
to cover what she hides
What happened yesterday–
is gone
Erased from memory.
It’s easy to block people out, life itself.
But not yourself.
Her soul stands against the wind,
