A Family of the Forest, by William Etty

I Don’t Know

She was the poem that wrote itself

I was the paper that sipped her words

They got me drunk as she taught me rhythm

But still she loved me in my drunkenness

She was the flame that melted the sun

But I was her shadow she couldn’t burn me

She glowed so bright she blinded the moon

And Still I never could look away

So I Bribed the sky made stars my eyes

And Somehow became a star in her eyes

No need for words we always knew

I was her one and only |She was my only one

What is love? I don't know! I have never been able to answer that question. Why use words to define an emotion when you can use them to make others feel it instead? I mean, wouldn’t they understand you perfectly if they could feel what you feel in its entirety instead of trying to understand how you feel it? Catch my drift? The piece above is an animated version of my idea of love. I don’t expect you to see love how I see it, but I hope you feel love, however it might happen for you — I don't know!
