Once in a while
You get the chance to fly
Even amidst the forces
Telling you lies
As terrifying as it may be
The beauty of soaring
Can feel like joy
Joy disguised as a physical endeavor
An emotion that brings about
Great pleasure
Like that from a woman
These butterflies in my
Stomach could help me to fly
But instead they cause me to look right by
What’s right in front of my eye
She reminds me of an angel
The way she glides across the dance floor
If only I had the right angle
To capture her beauty in disguise
The breeze
whispers a wise word to me
Telling me I should take a chance and be
If I had a chance to fly
I’d fly by your side
And never take flight again
