In our lives we’ve many things
Fancy houses, cars, and diamond rings
All the food that we can consume
We don’t need to hear about doom and glum
Yet when I face the world outside
I feel I just want to run and hide
I smile outside when I am really sad
But in the mirror things are bad
My reflection looks right at me
It cries for what no one can see
It sees the sadness behind the smile
It sees the struggle in every mile
It sees the darkness in my cloud
It sees my body in a shroud
It sees a tortured mind explode
It sees my thoughts going into overload
It sees the face behind the mask
It sees I’m failing gods great task
It sees the cross I carry for him
It sees the battle that rages within
It sees the journey in life I took
You see through my eyes it can look
At all the things that no one can see
For it truly knows what’s inside off me
