Now let me tell you about my friend
Who I’ve known for many years
He thought he’s done with life
Then she came! and happiness appears
Aye! she’s the sun shining in the morn
A wisp of jasmine in early spring
A crimson rosebud about to bloom
A rain shower, cool and refreshing
A strawberry ripened at the vine
That she is! To all who knows her
Love, she has never known before
Driving a few men into despair
He’s in the winter of a long life
All wizened by a thousand lessons
Ready to hang his spurs for good
Eager to simply watch the seasons
Weary, he’s given up on romance
He gave his heart; yes, it aches
Bruised by remorse and regret
He must forget, whatever it takes
Then they met! Fireworks happened
They fell in love, and it felt so right
And in life’s afterglow, he just found
A spring morning in his winter night!
