The pitter patter of the rain
As droplets hit the window pane
Soothed her much like a lullaby
And she found herself in a dream
Flying free, riding a moonbeam,
Streaking across the starlit sky!
All of the worries earlier today
Into a dustbin; and cast away
It’s pure joy she feels tonight
As she pirouettes among the stars
The moon, Venus and even Mars;
Untethered, free, unlike a kite!
And so it seems that every time
The worry clock begins to chime
When problems importune her soul
Her spirit takes her to such a place
Pure, uplifting, up there in space
To mend and make her being whole!

7yI really like this. Unlike a kite, untethered. It truly sounds like freedom. Our worries somehow hold us down.

7y@J Ann Crowder : Thanks for liking and faving. One of my fantasies - that I could just leave of the worldly worries, the mundane problems - and simply let go. What a feeling that could be!!!
