Honesty.
How we desire it on so many levels …
Expect it from those around us
Yet in a way we shy away from it
The small lie to spare feelings
Or even prevent someone from noticing
The unexpected events in the background
Honesty.
Promised by those we share a bond with
Yet never truly represented completely
Honesty.
In theory what we want
But drama created when it appears
Honesty.
… Not what we strive for
But the lil white lies
The half truths
Poison that goes down sweet
Like an addiction …
That we said we’d quit once we grew up
A poison we infect others with
With emotional kisses
The sharing of each other, one being tainted
Happiness through false statements
but under good intentions …
Paving the road to hell
….
Speak truth, the whole truth
Spare those you care from the infection
From the taint …
From ending up hurt
Honesty …
How I wish for you to appear.
