In sorrow and Fear.

In sorrow’s depths and fear that grips the soul,
Before thy presence, Father, am I bold.
Though broken, sinful, crushed beneath the weight
Of trials that would crush and desolate,
With gratitude my heart would turn to Thee,
For still thou dost receive and welcome me.

Thy love, a beacon in the darkest night,
A balm that heals, a solace in my plight.
Though frail and weary, I will seek thy face,
And find a new thy grace and tender grace.
For in thy presence, find I rest and peace,
A strength that guides and sets my soul at ease.

So let me come as I am, weak and frail,
Broken, repentant, yet with hope that shall prevail.
For in thy love, acceptance I will find,
My deepest wounds with healing balm thou wilt bind.
