On the sidewalk, I saw a Honey-Bee
It was walking ‘round and ‘round, without delay.
I could tell it wasn’t right, his circling,
And I wondered, “Is this his final day?”
Later on, I passed by and he was dead
It was sad, but I found no tear to shed
But as a token of admiration I found some Vegetation
And there, I laid the Bee to bed.
Then I offered up some words, to him,
As if I was his family, or a trusted friend.
“Sleep well,” I very quietly said,
And if reincarnation sits upon your bed
Then choose a life less strenuous
One with bliss and far less stress.
My friend, you could even be a tree!
But for goodness sake, don’t ask to be a Bee.
